About me & Contact

Welcome to my blog. I live and work in the Town of Plainfield in upstate New York. I received a Master of Arts degree from the University at Albany and have exhibited my work in Chicago and New York. In my career as an artist and teacher at Munson-Williams -Proctor Arts Institute, Utica, NY and Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY, I have launched several community-based projects. In 1990, I founded “The Drawing Company”—a program offering drawing classes and exhibition opportunities for elderly residents of Brookfield, NY. Following "The Drawing Company" I created “A Wedding Gift,” a historical narrative, featuring stories and photographs about memorable wedding gifts and their owners. My picture book Square Cat was released by Aladdin Books/ Simon & Schuster in 2011. ABC Square Cat will be released in Fall 2014. I live with my husband John. Together, we organic garden, bike, ski and keep bees. We have two daughters, Mackenzie and Sayward.
