Elizabeth Schoonmaker @leowelch

Elizabeth Schoonmaker is an artist based in the Town of Plainfield in upstate New York. She received her Master of Arts from the University at Albany and has been a resident artist at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica, NY and Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. Her work has been exhibited nationally, and she is the founder of several community-based art projects including “The Drawing Company,” a program that offers drawing classes and exhibition opportunities for elderly residents of Brookfield, NY, and “A Wedding Gift,” a narrative history project featuring stories and photographs about memorable wedding gifts and their owners. In addition, she is the author-illustrator of two children’s books, Square Cat and Square Cat ABC, released by Aladdin Books/Simon & Schuster. Contact: elizabeth.schoonmaker@gmail.com
