Elizabeth Schoonmaker @leowelch

Elizabeth Schoonmaker is an artist based in the Town of Plainfield in upstate New York. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the University at Albany and has been a resident artist at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica, NY and Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. Her work has been exhibited nationally, and she is the founder of several community-based art projects including “The Drawing Company,” a program that offers drawing classes and exhibition opportunities for elderly residents of Brookfield, NY, and “A Wedding Gift,” a narrative history project featuring stories and photographs about memorable wedding gifts and their owners. In addition, she is the author-illustrator of two children’s books, Square Cat and Square Cat ABC, released by Aladdin Books/Simon & Schuster. Contact: elizabeth.schoonmaker@gmail.com
